About the Program
The Inner Healing & Deliverance Prayer Ministry Certification is built upon the conviction that healing and deliverance are not simply techniques to master. They are ministries received through the finished work of Jesus Christ and applied by the Holy Spirit to wounded and oppressed people.
Students learn an approach to ministry that is attentive to the person, dependent upon the Holy Spirit, grounded in Scripture, and confident in the authority Christ has given His Church.
The program is intentionally practical. Students do more than read about healing and deliverance. They receive prayer ministry themselves, participate on prayer teams, observe experienced ministers, conduct supervised sessions, develop independent ministry experience, and eventually learn to equip others.
Receive. Learn. Practice. Minister. Multiply.
This is a ministry training and certification program, not an academic degree program. It does not confer academic credit or professional licensure.
What Will I Learn?
Upon successful completion of the complete certification pathway, students should be prepared to:
- Articulate a biblical theology of healing, deliverance, and the believer’s authority in Christ.
- Identify roots of wounds, agreements, and spiritual strongholds.
- Conduct individual inner healing and deliverance prayer sessions.
- Minister with appropriate supervision, consent, confidentiality, and pastoral safeguards.
- Adapt the ministry model responsibly to different ministry contexts.
- Exercise discernment concerning spiritual, psychological, and medical needs.
- Recognize when referral to an appropriately qualified professional is necessary.
- Train, equip, and release others to participate responsibly in inner healing and deliverance prayer ministry.
Three Levels of Progressive Training
The complete certification consists of three sequential levels. Students begin with Basic Training and progress through Intermediate and Advanced Training. Each level builds upon the previous level and includes required study, ministry experience, reflection, and supervisor review.
- LEVEL 1BasicReceive & Learn
- LEVEL 2IntermediatePractice & Minister
- LEVEL 3AdvancedEquip & Multiply
LEVEL 1
Basic Training
Receive & Learn
Basic Training introduces students to the biblical and practical foundations of inner healing and deliverance prayer.
Students receive before they give. They experience an individual prayer session themselves, attend foundational training, participate on prayer teams, complete assigned reading and reflection, and conduct their first prayer session under supervision.
Basic Training Includes

- Required reading and reflection
- Participation on prayer ministry teams
- Supervised prayer ministry experience
- Supervisor review

Basic Outcome: Conduct an inner healing and deliverance prayer session under supervision.
LEVEL 2
Intermediate Training
Practice & Minister
Intermediate Training moves students from foundational understanding toward increasing competency in actual ministry.
Students observe experienced ministers, continue participating on prayer teams, conduct supervised ministry, and begin conducting individual healing and deliverance prayer sessions. They learn to adapt the ministry model responsibly to real-life settings.
Intermediate Training Includes
- Continued personal prayer ministry
- Observation of experienced ministers
- Prayer-team participation
- Supervised ministry
- At least three individual prayer sessions
- Additional reading and theological reflection
- Application within the student’s ministry context
- Supervisor review
Intermediate Outcome: Conduct individual prayer sessions with increasing competency and demonstrate appropriate discernment concerning when to continue, pause, or refer.
LEVEL 3
Advanced Training
Equip & Multiply
Advanced Training moves beyond personal competency toward equipping others.
Students deepen their experience through continued study, observation, prayer-team participation, supervised ministry, and additional individual sessions. They begin reproducing the ministry by conducting training, preparing another person to minister, and assisting in the supervision of developing students.
Advanced Training Includes
- Advanced theological and practical reading
- Continued observation and debriefing
- At least ten individual prayer sessions
- Conducting a training workshop
- Preparing another person for prayer ministry
- Assisting with supervision of a Basic student

How Long Does the Program Take?
The certification is designed around competency rather than simply time spent in a course. Each level is completed at the student’s own pace under the direction of an assigned supervisor.
Because the program requires actual ministry experience, observation, reading, supervised sessions, and demonstrated competency, completion time will vary from student to student.
Students interested in the October 2026 cohort should contact Aidan University to discuss scheduling and program expectations.
ASK ABOUT THE OCTOBER 2026 COHORTHow Will I Be Evaluated?
This program does not use a traditional letter or percentage grading system. Advancement is based upon four areas.
Completion
Required reading, activities, ministry experiences, and written reflection have been completed.
Competence
The student demonstrates the ability to conduct ministry with skill, calm, attentiveness, and appropriate discernment.
Character
The student demonstrates humility, teachability, integrity, spiritual maturity, and appropriate accountability.
Fruit
There is evidence of meaningful fruit in the student’s own formation and ministry.
An assigned supervisor considers these criteria together when determining whether a student is prepared to advance to the next level.
Biblical & Theological Foundations
- The Authority of Christ
- Ministry rests upon Christ’s finished victory rather than the power or personality of the minister.
- The Sufficiency of Christ
- Spiritual opposition is taken seriously without allowing it to become the center of ministry.
- Truth & Freedom
- Inner healing seeks to bring wounded places and false beliefs under the truth of Christ.
- Forgiveness
- Students explore forgiveness, repentance, reconciliation, and their relationship to healing and freedom.
- Identity in Christ
- Lasting freedom is grounded in knowing who we are in Christ.
- Humility, Compassion & Gentleness
- Deliverance ministry is pastoral care, not spectacle.
Ministry Ethics, Safety & Boundaries
Responsible ministry is an essential part of the certification. Students are trained in:
- Confidentiality
- Freely given and revocable informed consent
- Team ministry
- Appropriate cross-gender boundaries
- Protection from coercion, manipulation, shaming, or restraint
- Recipient dignity
- Responsible referral
- Appropriate interaction with medical and psychological care
Prayer ministry is not a substitute for appropriate medical or psychological care.
Students learn to recognize circumstances requiring appropriate professional intervention and referral. The program does not train students to diagnose mental illness or to attribute every human struggle to spiritual causes.
We minister. God heals. Outcomes are never guaranteed, and recipients are never blamed when a particular outcome does not occur.
